CLASS NOTICE: On October 7, 2021, the Claims Administrator conducted the initial distribution of settlement funds to eligible claimants, as approved by order of the Court.

The information contained on this web page is only a summary of information presented in more detail in the Notice of (I) Pendency of Class Action and Proposed Settlement; (II) Settlement Fairness Hearing; and (III) Motion for Attorneys’ Fees and Litigation Expenses (the “Notice”), which you can access by clicking hereSince this website is just a summary, you should review the Notice for additional details.

Court-appointed Lead Plaintiff, Miami General Employees’ & Sanitation Employees’ Retirement Trust (“Lead Plaintiff”), on behalf of itself and the Class, has settled the Action for $35 million in cash, resolving all claims in the Action (“Settlement”).

On September 16, 2020, the Court held a hearing on approval of the Settlement and related matters and announced that it would approve the Settlement. Following the hearing, the Court entered an Order approving the Settlement, the proposed Plan of Allocation, and the attorneys’ fees and litigation expenses, and a final Judgment.

If you are a member of the Class, your rights will be affected and you may be eligible for a payment from the Settlement. The Class consists of:

all persons and entities who purchased or otherwise acquired common stock of Henry Schein, Inc. (“Schein”) during the period from March 7, 2013, through February 12, 2018, inclusive (the “Class Period”) and who were damaged thereby.

Excluded from the Class by definition are certain persons and entities (see paragraph 23 of the Notice) or those who requested exclusion pursuant to the instructions set forth in the Notice.

Please read the Notice to fully understand your rights. Copies of the Notice and Claim Form can be found in the menu on the left of this page.

Payments to eligible claimants will be made only after any appeals are resolved, and after the completion of all claims processing. Please be patient, as this process will take some time to complete.

YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OPTIONS IN THE SETTLEMENT:

SUBMIT A CLAIM FORM POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 2, 2020.

This is the only way to be eligible to receive a payment from the Settlement Fund.  If you are a Class Member and you remain in the Class, you will be bound by the Settlement as approved by the Court, and you will give up any Released Class Claims (defined in ¶ 35 of the Notice) that you have against Defendants and the other Releasees (defined in ¶ 36 of the Notice), so it is in your interest to submit a Claim Form.

Please read the Notice carefully.  If you have questions, you may call the Henry Schein Securities Litigation Help Line at 888-210-5486 or email info@HSICSecuritiesLitigation.com.
